Another interesting week ahead for the US markets, particularly in regard to earnings

Another interesting week ahead for the US markets, particularly in regard to earnings. Both Apple (AAPL) and Facebook (FB) reports will be closely watched. As the most valuable company in the world, Apple's results could impact the entire market. And, Facebook tends to be a benchmark for the social media industry. Several of the oil giants report next week as well, including Exxon (XOM) and Chevron (CVX) - and they could provide some interesting insights on global oil consumption. Beyond earnings, the most important scheduled event is the Fed meeting. Although, with tapering off the table, this meeting isn't nearly as intriguing as it used to be. As always, the language of the Fed statement is worth reading closely for changes. Nevertheless, in terms of Fed meetings, this is the least important meeting to investors in several months.
