CEO Interview: The French-listed multinational building a more energy efficient future
When you think of technology and innovation in stock markets, it's likely software and internet-based businesses, or semiconductor companies, come to mind.
But this new podcast episode highlights the fact that investors can get exposure to exceptional technology and innovation in some of the most unlikely places.
Our investment director, Alison Savas speaks with Benoit Bazin, the CEO of French-listed multinational Saint-Gobain (EPA: SGO).
Saint-Gobain develops and manufactures the building materials of the future. More than 70% of its revenue is linked to sustainability.
Building construction accounts for 40% of global carbon emissions - that’s more than the global transportation sector which includes all the trucks and cars on roads, planes in the air and ships on the seas.
So, as pressure on the industry mounts, Saint-Gobain has a big role to play in increasing the energy efficiency of buildings, manufacturing low-carbon products, and recycling building materials.
