How change can create opportunity
A life-cycle change company is one undergoing a positive, transformational change in their business model. Brandon Geisler, Portfolio Manager at Marsico Capital Management, says that they like to look for companies that have had a change of management, or a significant change in the nature of their operating business. When assessing new management, he says they like managers who have a past track record of success, and who are truly invested in the business. “We put a big premium on managers that own a lot of shares in their particular company.” This is just the beginning though; over time, they want to build a relationship with the management so that they can “get to know what makes the manager tick.” Watch the full interview below:
