The term 'it's a stockpicker's market' gets bandied about quite a lot. It refers to a market where individual stock selection and analysis play a crucial role in investment success, as opposed to broader forces driving the action (i.e. a rising macro tide lifting all boats).

There is a perception that interest rates have reached their peak, leading to a surge in interest rate sensitive stocks. While predicting macroeconomic trends is not our specialty, James Nguyen and I prefer to focus on fundamentals and earnings, considering them as the primary factors for long-term success.
