Mint Wireless (ASX:MNW) has been quietly winning contracts without making a big song and dance. Mint's partner, MYOB, announced that it has acquired a minority stake in a cloud-based point of sale provider called Kounta. This acquisition will enable MYOB to provide a fully integrated Point of Sale, and Payment solution directly into MYOB's existing accounting software. Mint's while labelled EFTPOS and credit card enabled payment system with MYOB is called MYOB PayDirect and forms an integral part to the MYOB solution. This acquisition illustrates that MYOB is committed to providing an integrated front-end to their software and increases the opportunity for Mint's payment product to be on sold as part of the MYOB accounting package. We view this announcement as a contract win for MNW, with Kounta anecdotally having thousands of installed customers. The MYOB news release is available here (VIEW LINK)
