Rio has announced a new China diamond strategy, with emerging play Kimberley Diamonds (ASX: KDL) up 600% over past year. Kimberley has continued its seamless transition to commercial-scale diamond production following the acquisition of the Ellendale diamond operation in Western Australia earlier in the year from UK-listed Gem Diamonds.
