Weathering a Trend? A week of surprises for two dollars.

In the last week the market has been taken aback by weak economic data in the US, as indeed Geoff Wood, our Head of Macro and Risk suggested it might on Sky Business last week ( you can see Morphic on Wednesdays at 6pm with Helen Dalley). So the question is whether this is the end of the US Dollar bull market for now? We would say: it depends on your vantage point. For the Euro, perhaps (for more on this please see our piece on being more optimistic on Europe written here last month) , but for the Australian dollar....it's hard to see much light in this tunnel.
