Where will the unlucky billions of dollars of Medibank money go? Medibank Private Broker Firm Offer exceeds expectations $12Bn in bids received - $1.5Bn allocated. I believe that the minute brokers know how much they have been allocated, the phones will be humming, as clients are advised of other stocks to invest into. The number one candidate is NIB Holdings(NHF), which has a very comparable business model and although it has already bounced hard recently, +17.8% against the market's +6.9%, I remain short term bullish. I am bullish NHF, targeting another ~15% upside over coming weeks/months. Interestingly and supportive of my view, is the similarities between the NHF chart and that of the S&P500, both calling a short term rally, prior to decent pullback. The S&P has now rallied ~10% over the last 3 weeks and my target is now only 5% above today's close. After last night's strong US GDP figure, when we refer back to the classic investment cycle, we are approaching the concerning point of inversion to Phase 4 where we expect a ~5% aggressive pullback.
