The combination of robust business conditions; another positive consumer sentiment report; and the very strong November labour force release gave significant weight to the RBA 'on hold' view this week. Increasingly, there is cause to be confident that consumption and non-mining investment will firm in 2016, supporting aggregate trend growth. Next week, all eyes will be on the FOMC as we await the first rate hike in the US in almost a decade.
