There has certainly been a lot to digest over the past 12 months – a couple of missteps in China, Europe’s seemingly endless commitment to quantitative easing, the Fed finally starting to raise interest rates to then recently stalling, the Brexit and locally the RBA deciding to cut interest rates to an all-time low of 1.75%. Jarod Dawson, our Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at PM CAPITAL discusses the Fund’s outlook for the coming year in light of these events. “The upcoming market situations will create pockets of volatility, which is great for us an investors with a substantial amount of the Fund (almost 50%) sitting in cash.
