Accessing structural growth in Asia

Kevin Bertoli, Portfolio Manager at PM CAPITAL, says that on a long-term view Asia remains the most attractive region for growth. "When I think about the area of growth globally I still think the area of growth is going to be in Asia. Places like Europe and the U.S. will recover but they will be cyclical recoveries. Whereas Asia is very much a structural story." Bertoli cites that 2.5 billion new middle income earners are forecast to emerge in Asia over the next two decades. That's a figure greater than the entire pool of middle income earners globally today. In this video he explains the types of companies that he believes are most likely to benefit from this demographic shift and why he prefers the local operators over offshore companies trying to crack into Asian markets.
