Satyajit Das, author of A Banquet of Consequences, thinks the Australian dream is at risk of coming to an end. He considers the four elements of the Australian dream to be 1) A good job, meaning one with security and the prospect of wage-growth. 2) A good home there is no religion in Australia other than property. 3) The ability to retire while still fit and healthy. 4) Leaving behind a legacy of wealth and a better future for their kids.
