Direct from the Desk: A deep dive into Wisr
In the first instalment of the new Market Matters podcast Direct from the Desk, I speak with Danny Younis, Senior Analyst at Shaw and Partners to take a deep dive into small-cap consumer finance business Wisr (ASX:WZR).
Wisr is one of Australia's newest neo-lender. This means it is not a traditional bank as it does not have a brick-and-mortar footprint or branches that are extremely capital intensive. Neo-lenders operate exclusively online and offer lending services through your mobile phone, or on your computer. So whilst you're less likely to see a Wisr branch on the corner of the main street, it is extremely flexible and convenient for users.
Currently sitting at a $270 million market cap, this company has been popular amongst users and shareholders alike. In the last twelve months, the stock has shot up just under 60% and is sitting at a share price of $0.26. In this podcast, James & Danny outline why it could be worth significantly more.
