Pie Funds: I'm always on the hunt for companies that operate with tailwinds. The great thing about the aging population tailwind is that it's not a trend that will waiver. It's real, it's happening and it's about as predictable as we can get. One business exposed to this tailwind is Ingenia Communities (ASX:INA). Ingenia is a leading owner, operator and developer of a diversified portfolio of housing communities for seniors. The group has 58 sites in Australia... these figures are expected to grow substantially during the next 5 years. The company is run by Simon Owen, who for my money, is a very dynamic individual with a proven track record and a desire to capture a large part of the market. More recently Ingenia has been increasing its exposure to Managed Housing Estates (MHE). The MHE model is quite different, notably less capital intensive. Read more (page 45) (VIEW LINK)
