Sheffield Resources (ASX: SFX) is our favourite emerging bulk commodity play and its share price has risen by 130% recently. Its flagship project is the world-class Thunderbird mineral sands project in WA, and Sheffield yesterday announced a record drill intersection comprising 82.5 metres @ 7.53% heavy minerals (HM) - the thickest mineralised intersection obtained to date at the project. Sheffield's share price has firmed from a 12-month low of $0.25 during mid-July to a high of $0.575 on Monday.
