The first two weeks of 2016 has been the worst calendar year start for equity markets in decades. The Australian share market has retreated by 10% in just two weeks and taken its price fall to 18% since March last year. Therefore it is important to investigate whether the equity market is properly flagging the problems that lie ahead, or is it too pessimistic for Australia?
