CB Insights reports there are now 196 private companies around the world valued at $1B+. This year, 21 companies have joined the global unicorn club. Collectively, these companies are worth approximately $678B. Combined, they have raised approximately $142B. The largest share of the world’s unicorns (17%) are in e-commerce and/or operate an online marketplace. Rounding out the top three most crowded markets for unicorns are: internet software & services (14%) and fintech (11%). Full listing here: (VIEW LINK)
