The NAB business confidence survey had one telling statistic from my perspective. Capital expenditure in the mining sector is at the lowest level since the survey started in 2002. I don't think I fully appreciated how many businesses benefited from the booming mining sector and to a large extent so may have been shocked by how quickly the slowdown has occurred. (VIEW LINK)
