The S&P/ASX 200 made its biggest one-day gain for a year yesterday, closing 2.63% higher at 4,834.0 points while the SPI futures index is down 25 points Wednesday morning. The AUD is at US91.42c, compared with last night's local close of US91.83c. US stocks reversed early gains overnight and ended lower on revived concerns about the euro zone and the political crisis in Egypt. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 42.55 points, or 0.28%, to 14,932.41 while the S&P500 slipped 0.88, or 0.05%, to 1614.08. The yield on the US 10-year Treasury is at 2.47%.
