There is value for investors with a long-term horizon
Jeremy Bendeich from Avoca Investment Management shares his thoughts on the level of M&A activity currently taking place on the ASX. When asked if it suggests there is value on offer Bendeich says the perception of value can depend greatly on the time horizon of the investor. "If you have an approach which collides with the way corporates think, which is to think out over the journey of multi year capital investment and strategy for growing businesses. You'll see that some people do throw good companies out at the bottom of the cycle." Bendeich says this has been the case in some parts of the resources sector where companies like Sirius and PanAust have delivered good returns in an unloved sector. In this video he explains his view on the levels of M&A taking place and why it is likely to continue for the foreseeable future.
