Transurban: What analysts aren't pricing
Justin Braitling, Chief Investment Officer at Watermark Funds, believes the domestic and global outlook is pointing to a sustained period of low growth. Against this backdrop Braitling says you need to focus on investing in companies with ‘privileged assets’ and the ability to exert pricing power. He uses the example of Transurban as a company with the optionality to invest further in their existing network. “The existing portfolios are fully valued. What the market is not capturing is the upside through investing in additional network elements… You’ve got privileged assets with optionality and upside as they develop those assets further – and that’s not in the valuation.” Watch the full video:
