What does the IMF stand for? I never sent my resume off to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) when I was a student. I guessed I had no chance whatsoever with my grades and clear lack of academic talent, but now I've got the feeling that the good people at the IMF works for me! The IMF today cut its global growth outlook, which helped us with our bearish portfolio positions to send stock markets and Oil lower around the world. All in line with my earlier assumptions. Which makes me ponder that IMF actually stands for Incredible Momentum of Forecasts.
