Why Apple is an average stock - Apple continues to deliver impressive sales growth year on year, and surprised many analysts when it reported revenue of USD 74.6bn revenue, up from USD 57.6bn the previous year. In the three months to December 27, Apple managed to sell 34,000 iPhones every hour, 24 hours per day for three full months, with the iPhone delivering 70 per cent of the tech giant's profits. Despite this, Saxo Bank Head of Equity Strategy Peter Garnry still believes Apple stock - not the company - is average. While Garnry says Apple is a quality company with 'fantastic' numbers, he notes the largest stocks on market value usually underperform, and growth opportunities are bound to come down. (VIEW LINK)
